Building Questions
How do the buildings go together?
The buildings are bolted together using our patented channel iron connection. The pipes have a channel welded onto the end of each pipe and that channel "saddles" over the pipe next to it and just bolts together.
What all comes with the buildings?
We sell the pipe frame only. You will also receive an instructional video as well as written instructions on how to assemble the frame. You provide all the finish material and assembly of the frame.
What kind of finish material do I use to finish the building?
You can use whatever type of finish material you like. The two most popular finish materials are metal siding and 4'x 8' sheets of "smart panel." Other choices may be rough cut lumber, tarps, & we also have seen someone use his wooden political signs as a finish material.
*Smart Panel is very similar to T-111 but it is pre painted with a khaki colored primer.
How do I attach my finish material?
There are tabs that are pre-welded to the pipe frame and to those tabs you attach 2"x 4" lumber and to that lumber you attach you finish material.
Do I need to anchor my building?
We suggest that you anchor your building.
Do the buildings require a foundation?
No, all of the building frames are frames are designed to sit on top of the ground. However, if you would like a foundation under the building that is fine, too.
How much will it cost for me to finish my building?
A good estimate on the finish material costs is for the buildings without stalls you should add 75% to the retail cost of the building frame. (ex. If the building frame costs $3000.00 you will spend about $2250.00 in finish material, so you will have a total of $5250.00 in your building.) For the buildings with the stalls a safe estimate is to double the retail cost of the frame. (ex. If the building frame costs $3000.00 you will spend about $3000.00 in finish material, so you will have a total of $6000.00 in your building.)
